Awards

2012 – Winner of Scholarship for Schulich School of Business certificate program
  • Jessica received a scholarship in the form of approximately $1500 towards the “Media Leadership” course at the Schulich School of Business at York University in a certificate program put together by WIFT and Bell Media.  

2009 - CBC Business of Broadcasting Mentorship Award
  • Jessica won a Crystal Award through WIFT where she was trained and exposed to various business and creative aspects of drama & lifestyle development and production at CBC in Toronto. She completed the mentorship-training program in February 2009.

2009 - Scholarship Award
  • Through the WIFT mentorship award, she won a $2000 scholarship towards Humber College’s certificate program called “Business Management for Media Professionals”, which she completed in 2010.

2007 - Toronto International Film Festival Wish Come True
  • Jessica was selected to appear in an episode of “The List” (a Slice Network TV Series) where her wish of wearing a designer couture dress on the red carpet at the TIFF Opening Night screening and afterparty came true.

2004 - Award of Excellence in Screenwriting
  • Upon graduation from the Toronto Film School, Jessica won an award and scholarship for the Best Screenwriter in the class of 2003/2004.

2004 - Award for Best Screenwriter
  • At the TFS Film Festival, my short film “Footsteps” won for Best Screenwriting.
  • Her lead female’s were nominated for Best Actress and her 22-min documentary “Whispers of the Hermitage” was nominated for Best Documentary.

2003 - “Follow Your Quest” Scholarship Award
  • Upon graduating high school, I won a scholarship award given to one student clearly set on course to follow their dreams.

2003 - Award for Best Ensemble Play
  • I performed in an ensemble play called “This is for you, Anna” for the Sears Drama Festival and we won best play at the Regional & Municipal level in 2003.
