Mentorship
Tell me and I'll forget; show me and I may remember; involve me and I'll understand.
~Chinese Proverb~

Momentum Media wants to give back, offer guidance and motivate youth to follow their passions and reach their goals. With Jessica’s experience working in the film & television industry, combined with her desire to reach out and continue working with youth, she hopes to lend herself to organizations or individuals who need mentorship or advice on the entertainment industry and following your dreams.

Working with Youth Experience:

In 2002, Jessica did her co-op in high school working with the special needs teaching English, math & drama for five months. She also directed a musical sequence from “Grease” that her students performed for an audience. At her high school graduation, she received the “Follow Your Quest” scholarship award that went to one student set on course to following their dreams.

Upon graduating film school in 2004, Jessica was invited to teach & design the curriculum for two courses in the Acting for Film and Television Program at the Toronto Film School teaching actors about the directing process. She taught for 7 months in 2005.

In 2008 & 2009, Jessica was invited on a couple occasions to be a guest speaker at her high school in various communications technology classes. Jessica will at some point in the future be teaching English overseas, but she hopes to make teaching and mentoring an active part of her life.
